New Technology Training Sessions!

Your requests drive our training calendar. Session topics, days and time slots offered Fall 2014 semester, and being offered January - March 2015, were selected from faculty and staff requests. To request a training topic, group or individual training, please click on the Request Training button located under our calendar.

Technology Training Services wishes you a

Healthy and Happy Holiday Season! 

Blackboard: Basics, Advanced, Grade Center, Tests, Rubrics and Collaboration Tools. These topics, as well as several Bb Open Labs, are scheduled at both the 16 week and first 8 week sessions. 

Microsoft Office 2013: Excel Basic and Intermediate, Outlook Advanced and Word Basic. Word Intermediate, PowerPoint Basic and Intermediate will be offered later in the semester.

Adobe: Basics and Forms (including Digital Signature). Due to a limited amount of licenses, Adobe Basic is required to receive the Adobe Pro software. 

SharePoint: Basic sessions are on the calendar. Due to upcoming changes, we are unable to offer more advanced SharePoint sessions.

Camtasia: Basic and Advanced. The Advanced session now includes recording PowerPoint presentations and Closed Captioning. 

Podcasting: While Podcasting is used in Blackboard courses, this training also features Audacity which is very helpful if you're planning to attend Camtasia Advanced. 

Google Drive, Sites and Blogger: Google Drive training includes Docs and Forms and is required before attending Google Sites.

New Technology Training PDO's!

New session titles, dates and times added,

based on your request, to our New Calender!

Welcome Joey Robinson, Lead Technology Trainer and Developer, who joined Reynolds Community College on August 11, 2014. Joey’s experience in K-12 education spans over a dozen year in positions as teacher, Instructional Resource Teacher and Instructional Specialist. His experience in higher education includes instructing at Longwood University. 

Prior to his career in education, Joey served the United States Marine Corps and traveled extensively to countries such as Afghanistan, Greece, Spain, Turkey and South America. Joey feels that through his tour of duty he was able to gain many new experiences.

Joey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Longwood University. He earned a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University.

Joey currently resides with his wife and their two children, ages 12 and 2. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
