Technology News & Spring Break Training!



  • Adobe Acrobat DC Training - The NEW Adobe Acrobat DC will replace older versions of Adobe Acrobat to be compatible with the college’s upcoming Windows 10 upgrade. This training session combines Adobe Acrobat Pro DC basic functions with Adobe Forms. Several sessions are scheduled at PRC and DTC during Spring Break. Click Calendar for dates, times and locations. Note: This training is required to receive installation. 

  • Podcast Training - Blackboard Voice is no longer available for Podcasting in Blackboard courses. A new Podcasting training session is being developed to accommodate this need. If you currently use, or desire to use audio in your Blackboard courses, CLICK HERE.
     
  • Social Media and You – Exploring the Pros and Conswill explore the pros and cons of how social media affects our lives and will be presented March 13th during Classified PDO Day. Details coming soon!
  • Reynolds Login Chart - typically shared with new faculty to become familiar with login user names for Reynolds applications has been updated. It can be found on the Technology Training Services tutorial page or by CLICKING HERE.
  • Video Training Tutorials - For quick resources to assist with technology applications, locate Free Online Learning under Free Tools on the Technology Training Services website. All college employees also have access to professional video tutorials housed in Blackboard. These videos offer “just in time” training assistance on a wide range of topics. Click below to watch a brief video on how to access Atomic Learning tutorials.

Welcome to Spring 2017

  • Blackboard Open Labs - Open Labs are being provided to address questions referencing Blackboard. Bb Open Lab is not a training session but is designed to accommodate Blackboard issues that can be resolved in 15 - 20 minutes. Sign up is not required, walk-ins encouraged. 
  • Blackboard Basics - Learn the basic features of the college’s Learning Management System used for delivering instructional materials to students as well as creating engaging virtual learning environments and other shared resources for specific groups of students. This is an entry level training which assumes you have minimal, or no prior, Blackboard experience as an instructor.
  • Office 365 Email - Learn the new browser based version of your Reynolds email. This PDO will cover the changes from OWA to Office 365 Outlook email, folders, calendar features and the optimal settings for safe and effective email communication.

Information and Updates!


Blackboard Course Copy - training sessions have been scheduled at both DTC and PRC locations November 15 - 18. These sessions will be hands-on copying of your material into the available spring 2017 course shells. CLICK HERE to sign up for a session.

Office/Outlook 365 – There seems to be some confusion about using Office/Outlook 365. If you are a full time employee, the Outlook application on your desktop/laptop has not changed. You DO NOT have to access your email through a browser.
