Blackboard Basic - February 9th & 13th - Learn the basic features of the college’s Learning Management System used for delivering instructional materials to students as well as creating engaging virtual learning environments and other shared resources for specific groups of students. This is an entry level training which assumes you have minimal, or no prior, Blackboard experience as an instructor.
Blackboard Grade Center - February 10th & 12th - Learn the features and functionality of the Blackboard Grade Center. This session includes organization of Grade Center, Full Grade Center and Needs Grading views, creating Grade Columns, providing Feedback and Inline Grading. NOTE: Blackboard Basics is a prerequisite.
Blackboard Rubrics - February 10th & 12th - Blackboard Rubrics help you evaluate student work consistently and objectively by listing evaluation criteria for any given assignment or gradable Discussion Board posting, Wiki page, Journal, or Blog entry. Rubrics can help students organize their efforts to meet the requirements of an assignment, while faculty can use rubrics to explain their evaluation to students. During grading, as scores and feedback are entered into a Rubric they are also automatically reflected in the Grade Center, which becomes a considerable time saver.

Blackboard Tests - February 9th & 11th - Learn how to utilize the test feature in Blackboard. This PDO covers creating, importing, modifying and exporting of tests and creating tests pools. Respondus will also be covered to explore offline test development and converting existing tests from word processing documents.

Blackboard Collaboration Tools - February 10th & 11th - Learn to use engage your students using the following Blackboard Collaboration Tools - Discussion Boards, Journals, Wikis and Blogs. This PDO will be interactive with participants engaging in each format while learning how to create and best use each tool in their very own course.
